PARTNERS, A Tasteful Choice Company is Hiring a Machine Operator/Lead Near Des Moines, WA

What we’re looking for:
Experienced machine operators with lead experience a plus. You will learn all areas of production as a machine operator and use your leadership skills to support shift supervisor and all operations on all machinery and fill in during absences.

When:
First Shift: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
Second Shift: 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
Third Shift: 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m., Monday through Friday

  • Competitive pay $19.50-$27.50, depending on experience. $1 shift differential for second shift. $2 shift differential for third shift.

This position may be exposed to varying temperature changes, loud noises, and the handling of allergen ingredients, including wheat, milk, eggs, tree nuts, and sesame.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work at a rapid pace for an eight-hour shift. This is a production/assembly position and requires fast and consistent motion. We work as a team and try to have fun while still meeting our goals.
  • Read and follow recipes and specifications accurately in order to maintain, inspect, and operate our mixing and manufacturing equipment
  • Keep accurate and thorough records, including lot numbers and production logs
  • Coordinate set up and pre-running of the equipment to ensure proper production startup
  • Operate various equipment, including basic troubleshooting, to meet daily production goals
  • Participate in pre-and post-shift meetings with supervisors and other production crews to communicate instructions, updates, and daily plans
  • Run metal detector check and verify critical control points
  • Become certified in all areas of production and assist where necessary to ensure production continuity
  • Assist shift supervisor in ensuring production employees are in the correct position, taking assigned breaks, and are following employee hygiene policies
  • Report any equipment issues to either shift supervisor, area lead, or maintenance
  • Maintain safety standards
  • Work with tools
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Other duties and assignments as required

  • You are clean, reliable, and will have excellent attendance
  • You work well with others and appreciate diversity and other cultures
  • You possess basic math skills, follow directions well, and are extremely organized
  • You work quickly, accurately, and can perform repetitive motions
  • You are physically able to stand for long periods of time, as well as crouch, bend, climb stairs, steps, and ladders
  • You have a positive attitude with a great sense of humor
  • You care about your work and will always strive for quality

Education and Experience:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing, preferably food
  • Minimum of 1 year in supervisory or lead experience
  • Some maintenance experience a plus
  • Forklift experience a plus
